There are way too many old garbage trucks, bowsers, skip carriers etc. that are spewing the diesel fumes and emissions of a dozen cars. The law should be equal for all and operators should upgrade or clean up their equipment.
Many cities have actually started phasing out diesel. But in reality our commercial fleet is very old. The CEO of TfL said last year that a lorry designed to work in a quarry decades ago has no place in the city of London. Same here.
